I am a storyteller and my medium is bronze,

My focus are animals, working with clay allows me to convey their emotion, story and personality, interpreted in a way I think is best suited to bronze, line, light and flow.

My sculptures start as a single line, which I work on to find the perfect image in terms of proportion, balance and character so the viewer sees the true essence of the animal and its story.

To draw on the power and beauty of animals and to portray it in sculpture is a great privilege.

Ani Mollereau whose work is celebrated for its emotional resonance, technical mastery, and deep connection to nature. Throughout her extensive career, Ani has exhibited widely across Ireland and abroad, earning recognition for her ability to imbue bronze, silver, and bog oak with a vivid sense of life and spirit.

A profound love of horses and animals has been a constant source of inspiration for Ani. This affinity is at the heart of her practice, where the visible forms of the natural world are used as a language to express the invisible - emotion, imagination, story, and the life force that connects all beings. In Ani's hands, sculpture becomes more than representation; it is a meditation on existence, identity, and our relationship with the planet we share.

Ani's artistic journey is driven by a desire to challenge viewers to look more carefully at the world around them. Through the tactile immediacy and visual simplicity of her work, she invites audiences to reconnect with their own inner worlds, inspiring reflection, imagination, and a sense of shared responsibility to the Earth. Each piece is both a personal narrative and a universal story, encouraging viewers to find their own meanings within the forms she creates.

Her creative process is deeply immersive, a dialogue between artist and material where energy flows through clay and metal, giving shape to unseen forces. Ani describes this process as a collaboration with the energy of creation itself - a transformative experience where artist, material, and spirit grow together.

Today, Ani Mollereau continues to explore and expand her practice, contributing to the contemporary Irish art scene while staying true to the timeless themes of nature, spirit, and connection that have always defined her work.
